About the designer
For 15 years, I designed and manufactured Freckleswear, a boutique line of children’s clothing. Bright colors and fun fabrics was the look! My foray into the quilting world came around 1987 with a hand-piecing, hand-quilting Sampler class. After a trip to Quilt Market, I realized that stitchery/embroidery was making a come-back. This was my chance to combine hand-work, stitching, color, fabric, quilting, the many things I love doing, into one medium. A pattern that could teach stitching and quilting techniques was the answer. I have taught in many of the shops in the Vancouver, British Columbia area. Interacting with students and the resulting feedback is very rewarding. I enjoy sharing my quilts and knowledge, through presentations, to Quilt Guilds and groups.
